Attendance and Absences
Please ring the school (06 368 8306) as soon as possible in the morning or even the evening before – please ring before 9 am. You can also email the school office at office@lis.school.nz
Please leave a message with: Your name; Your child’s name; Your child's teacher's name or room; and the reason for your child’s absence (e.g. sick, dentist, holiday, etc.). The Ministry of Education requires the school to record a reason for your child’s absence.
If no absence message is received, the office will text whānau/parents to enquire about the absence.

The School Day
The school is open Monday to Friday.
Class starts at 8.55 am. Block 1 is from 8:55-10:30 am. Morning Tea is from 10:30-11:00 am. Block 2 is from 11:00-12:30 pm. Lunch is from 12:30-1:25 pm. Block 3 is from 1:25-3:00 pm. School finishes at 3:00 pm.
